Workers too busy to peel oranges at lunch

A market research firm in Britain has an interesting take on why consumption of one citrus fruit has declined over the last year.
How many different ways have you heard employees end this sentence? “I’m so busy at work that I don’t have time to (blank).”
(Those of you old enough to remember TV’s Match Game: Just imagine how Brett Summers, Charles Nelson Reilly and Richard Dawson would fill in that blank.)
A survey says orange consumption in Britain is down 2% because the British are too busy to eat them at lunch.
The survey, by market researchers TNS, said Brits now prefer tangerines and satsumas which are easier to peel and less messy.
They’re smaller for lunch boxes too, according to TNS.
Satsuma consumption rose 35% but tangerines were the real success story, up 60%.
“Satsumas are the key growth area,” a TNS spokeswoman said. (Do they represent satsuma farmers or what?)
