When HR hires teenagers, it requires some extra effort. Often the young person is starting his first job, and certain workplace boundaries have to be explained.
Here’s an example of one such boundary: Don’t snap pictures of women as they’re undressing.
A 15-year-old boy was fired from his job at Idlewild Park in Ligonier, PA, for allegedly taking cell phone pictures and video of a woman undressing in a water park changing room.
Police have charged him with disorderly conduct, according to wire service reports. They say the boy attached the phone to a broom handle so he could lift it over a changing room wall.
The woman notified security when she noticed the phone with the red blinking light that indicated it was recording.

Does this workplace boundary need to be told to the employee regardless of age? The fact that it is a teenager does not justify the action. If that teen had taken pictures of anyone undressing in a private place he would be arrested. This is just common sense. But as one of my friends likes to say, common sense isn’t but common man (or woman) is.
