A builder in Montenegro is alive today because of his untidy fellow workers.

Branislav Gomilic fell down an elevator shaft in a building under construction, according to wire service reports.

But he lived to tell about it because other workers had been using the empty shaft as a garbage chute.

Gomilic fell onto a pile of cardboard packaging and plastic at the bottom of the chute.

The fall victim broke his arm — but that was his only serious injury.

Doctors told Gomilic he wouldn’t be alive today if his workmates hadn’t been so sloppy.
