What did three executives do to be dubbed in the media “Germany’s stupidest bankers?”
The three executives with state bank KfW made erroneous transfers of $710 million to the bankrupt Lehman Brothers.
KfW has suspended two board members and a top risk control manager.
A law firm will determine whether further consequences are appropriate.
The state-owned lender mistakenly transferred the money to Lehman on Monday after the U.S. investment bank filed for bankruptcy protection.
