A police officer in England was sent to investigate a suspected brothel. Looks like he took his investigation a little too far.

The unnamed police sergeant went to the building as ordered and proceeded to have sex with a prostitute.

The officer was on duty at the time in east London, according to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).

The IPCC says he was supposed to be finding out if the premises were being used for prostitution (insert your own punchline here).

IPCC Commissioner Deborah Glass said, “The sergeant’s behavior was disgraceful. He has brought shame on himself and his former colleagues.”

The officer was forced to quit after a misconduct hearing, according to media reports in London.

We guess the IPCC wasn’t impressed with his explanation that he was collecting evidence.
