Coffee wasn’t good enough; they wanted their own barista

Many employees probably don’t think of coffee provided at work as a benefit; they take it for granted.

Of all the complaints you can hear from employees, grumbling about the quality of coffee probably isn’t high on your list.

New Zealand’s Olympic team is taking no chances about getting a good cup of coffee at the games in China: They’re bringing their own barista to Beijing.

The barista is expected to make 500 cups of coffee per day for the 182-member team.

The coffee maven is being provided by a sponsor of the New Zealand team.

A team spokesman says the amount of caffeine consumed by the New Zealanders shouldn’t be a problem when they’re tested for controlled substances.
