About HR Blunders

Welcome!
Human Resources is, of course, a very serious business. So, those of us at HR Blunders don’t mean to make light of what you do on a daily basis.
But, once you read some of the real-life HR and employee oddities we’ve dug up, we think you’ll smile, if not laugh out loud.
And despite the ridiculous situations we write about, you’ll find some real-life take-home in these stories, too.
What are we all about?
“Dubious decisions” – You won’t believe some of the decisions made by managers, supervisors and employees.
“HR Blunder of the Week” – We think you’ll like all of our stories, but this one, each week, will walk away with this honor – or dishonor.
“Oh no they didn’t” – We tell you about the latest stupid human tricks at work.
“Rules made to be broken” – Breaking these workplace rules isn’t just an idea, it’s required.
“That’s how they do it in _____” – HR Blunders “from the foreign desk.”
“They said what?” – Regular proof that people at work say the stupidest things.
And as we add more unbelievable stories, we’ll think of additional fun ways to categorize them.
And we’re adding new stories every day, so please check back regularly. If there’s something you have a question about or would like to contribute, e-mail fhosier@pbp.com.
